- DO SIRI AND GOOGLE ASSISTANT WORK?
Yes, by pressing the centre of the Lagoon ANC touchpad for approx. 2 seconds, you can activate the personal assistant on your smartphone or tablet. (This assumes that this function has not been disabled on the smartphone/tablet.)
+ HOW DOES THE LIGHT GUIDE SYSTEM WORK?
Light guides, which act as an innovative user interface, are installed inside the LAGOON ANC’s ear cups. They provide you with information whilst the headphones are in use or are being charged, all without disturbing anyone around you with flashing LEDs. The Light Guide System (LGS) only works when the headphones have been removed. The feature is automatically turned on and off using a built-in sensor.
Here you will find a table that gives an overview of the different indicators and their meaning.
+ WHAT NEEDS TO BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT WHEN USING ACTIVE NOISE CANCELLING?
If you use Active Noise Cancelling with your LAGOON ANC headphones in a quiet environment you may notice faint but audible background noise. This is normal. It happens with all well-established ANC headphones and is not a technical issue. When the headphones are actively being used (e.g. for a telephone call or media playback), the noise should no longer be audible because it will be completely masked by the desired signal. In a loud environment, the background noise will also not bother you as the desired effect of the Active Noise Cancelling feature will prevail.
In a quiet environment, passive noise cancelling (ANC off, i.e. ANC = 0) will be sufficient.
The acoustic construction has been specially designed to ensure that external, ambient noise is very effectively reduced even in passive mode.
We recommend the following
-ANC off: in a quiet environment where passive noise cancelling is sufficient
-ANC level 1: in an environment with medium noise pollution, e.g. at home or in the office
-ANC level 2: in an environment with heavy noise pollution, e.g. during a flight
To achieve optimum ANC performance, ensure that
-the headband of the LAGOON ANC headphones is sitting securely and directly on top of your head and that the ear cups are fully surrounding and sealing your ears
-the ANC microphones (small openings underneath the circular surfaces on the ear cups) are exposed and are also not covered during use
If you remove the LAGOON ANC headphones whilst using the top ANC level (level 2) and with the volume up very high, you may hear a significant amount of distortion in the audio signal due to the fact that the seal previously created has been broken, provided that the automatic mute function hasn’t already kicked in. This is normal with ANC headphones. The LAGOON ANC headphones are not designed to be used when open like that.
+ IS IT POSSIBLE TO MAKE PHONE CALLS WITH THE LAGOON ANC?
Yes, you can also make phone calls with the Lagoon ANC using the microphone built into the right housing cup. It integrates Qualcomm cVc, a technology for particularly good voice clarity.
